WHO WE ARE ?


 

In 2017, the I Cybersociety Congress was held, which met from October 16 to 20, at the Meliá Marina hotel in Varadero under the motto "Let's dream and act". More than 400 delegates from Cuba and nearly 40 foreign representatives from 12 countries attended the meeting, including businessmen, academics and government representatives. In addition to the scientific sessions, a Solutions Fair, the First Meeting of Associations of Information Technology Professionals and the Civil Society Forum were held. There were 4 mentions and 6 prizes for the best works of the Solutions Fair; as well as brief presentations by 7 Cuban providers of IT products and services (Cuban Post Offices, PYXEL, ETI, DESOFT, Tecnomática, UCI and CINESOFT).

In 2019, the II Cybersociety Congress was held which met from October 14 to 18 at the Meliá Marina hotel in Varadero under the slogan "Enabling Digital Transformation". It was attended by delegates from all Cuban provinces and a large representation of foreigners, experts in computing, science and technological innovation. A Civil Society Forum, scientific sessions with master lectures, workshops and panels, a round of sponsors and an Innovative Solutions Fair were held, in which the best experiences and good practices  that contribute to promoting the Computerization Policy and the Digital Transformation of Cuban society.

 
 
The III Cybersociety Congress 2023 is the third edition of this event that is held every two years and was not convenced in 2021 due to the covid-19 pandemic. Under the motto "Digital transformation: Global-local connection" it will be a space to expose the advances of the Cuban digital agenda within the framework of the digital transformation policy, together with other similar experiences at a global level, with an emphasis on Europe and Latin America and the Caribbean, while focusing on the local (territory, company, economic sector) and centered on people, as a scenario for practicing and experimenting with digital transformation. In line with the National Development Plan for 2030, it is expected that best practices and challenges in relation to Industry 4.0 come together within the framework of the Productive Transformation and International Insertion Program, with an emphasis on the new advances in Industrial Digital Transformation technologies, highlighting the practices connected from the global to the local, and the new business models and organizational change required to develop the industry, as well as the incremental insertion in global value chains.
